If You're Going Through it...
That old Poison lyric says it all:
“Every rose has its thorn, just like every night has its dawn.”
This world will break your heart.
People will let you down. Your own mind will betray you.
Even the things that look beautiful? They come with thorns.
But Krishna's not surprised.
He told Arjuna straight:
“O son of Kuntī, happiness and distress come and go like summer and winter. Endure them without being disturbed.”
(Bhagavad-gītā 2.14)
Endure.
Not like a doormat. Not numb.
But steady. Anchored. Eyes up.
Because the night will pass. And Krishna is the dawn.
The soul’s natural state is hope.
Even if life feels dark, some part of you still knows:
“I’m meant for more than this. I belong to someone. I belong to Krishna.”
That’s called āśā-bandha—the deep, unshakeable hope of a devotee:
“Even if it takes lifetimes, I won’t give up. Krishna will come for me.”
(Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu 1.3.25)
If you're hurting right now… pause.
Close your eyes. Breathe. And call His name.
Not with fancy words. Just real ones.
“Krishna, I’m tired. Please help me.”
That’s it. That’s enough.
He hears. He’s always heard.
Every rose has its thorn.
But every thorn pushes you closer to the real fragrance of love - Krishna.
