Merry Christmas💰
In this issue I have included a korero I gave at the Parama Karuna Ashram for my bhakti brothers. Unfortunately the recording stopped half way but it still caught the main ideas I wanted to share. The theme is revolutionising our attitude in bhakti.
‘Tis the season for family guilt trips emotional drama and gifting mass produced slave labour made plastic objects (wrapped in trees and more plastic) bound for land fill.
If these plastic shapes are lucky they will provide temporary pleasure for the temporary owner and maybe some money when that pleasure runs dry. If they are really lucky some other love starved soul will see some void filling potential in it and trade their wage slave earnings for it on facebook market place.
It’s also a time to forget God by drinking liquor poisen and blacking out with so called friends.
What about something positive?
Their is a crystal clear ocean of love available for free swimming. But heres the thing. We've been conditioned to think things are valuable if they cost money. This misunderstanding has lead us into a trap of endless mindless consumerism.
Things of nature are paid token tribute while things artificial and digital are given the most attention.
The key to my joy is loving people and using things and I invite you to do that this Christmas.
Do like my friend Fionn and gift experiences like a cooking class. Do as Christ would like and make some sacrifice. Dont eat meat, avoid plastic and chant the Holy Names of God alone or with whanau. This will please your heart and mind. Mother Bhumi will thank you too.
Bless
